For many of us, Christmas dinner is the highlight of the entire festive season.
And if it's ruined, there will be uproar around the table.
The turkey is an integral part of a Christmas dinner, and it just would not be the same without it.
But some Aldi shoppers were faced with exactly that on Christmas Day after the supermarket's "turkey in a bag" melted in the oven.
One disgruntled customer took to Twitter to complain about the unfortunate mishap - which only led to more people complaining about the exact same issue, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The instructions on the packet of the fresh turkey crowns said to "leave the crown in its tray and ovenproof bag" ready to be cooked and enjoyed as part of the big festive feast.
And despite saying they followed the instructions, unhappy shoppers say they were left with their turkey, which could have cost customers as much as £37 depending on the weight, covered in melted plastic which they were then unable to eat.
"When is an ovenproof bag not an ovenproof bag? When it’s from Aldi and has £36 of Turkey Crown in it!! It melts instead!! Not impressed @AldiUK," said the first disgruntled customer.
Another responded: "Same here too. No crispy bacon or skin for us today. Couldn't even pick off all the plastic."
"Same problem for us, plastic melted all over turkey, tray and oven. Not impressed," added a third.
In response, an Aldi spokesperson said: "We are investigating how this could have happened and are happy to provide a full refund to customers who have purchased an Aldi product that they are not totally satisfied with.
"This product should always be used and cooked in line with the instructions on the packaging."
They also added that only a small number of complaints had been received after selling more than 100,000 of the SS Free Range Bronze Turkey Crowns.
