Aldi customer shares 'genius' life hack showing how to slow down staff at checkouts

Aldi is one of the most popular supermarket chains in Scotland.

The budget retailer only narrowly missed out on being crowned cheapest in the country by main rival Lidl recently, but has legions of loyal customers who pounds its isles religiously.

Best known for its affordable prices, easy to navigate stores and its famous Specialbuys, there’s barely a town or city up and down the UK without an Aldi.

But once quirky trait which is a common occurrence for shoppers of the brand is the speed with which they are expected to make it through the checkouts, as reports Birmingham Mail.

One customer has shared a hilarious video showing how to get around the shop’s swift scanning.

Tik Tok user Ciaran is behind the nifty life hack, which has been shared widely across the platform.

He says: "Top tip: spread all your shopping out and it gives you time to bag it so they don't throw it at you."

"Need to do that, Aldi cashiers are way too fast," one replied back.

"Very good," a second agreed.

"This is the best life hack I've ever seen", another said.

Others branded Ciaran a "genius".

And, we are not the only one who think this hack is a game changer. On a Reddit thread, other users raved about the packing technique.

A post on the website said: "Aldi ProTip: Line you shopping cart with an IKEA blue bag.

"When you check out and the cashier throws everything in the cart- BOOM! You're bagged and ready to go."
