Aldi confirms opening hours for four-day Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations are fast approaching, with a long Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate. But with barbecues planned and street parties organised, shoppers might be wondering what the supermarket opening times will be for Thursday, June 2 and Friday, June 3.

While some supermarkets are expected to shorten their hours to Sunday service, Aldi has confirmed they’ll be open as usual over the four-day weekend.

That means customers won’t need to worry about running out of limited edition jubilee gin, miscalculating how many burgers to buy, and can still pick up their favourite Specialbuys.

Aldi said: “Over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend, normal opening hours will remain in place at Aldi’s more than 960 stores, meaning customers have time to pick up everything they need to enjoy the celebrations over the long weekend.”

Customers have been advised to check their local store’s opening times before making a visit, as hours can vary from store to store.

Shoppers will be able to find ‘everything the need to make this Jubilee Bank Holiday amazing’, including cakes, scones and desserts, savoury treats, sides and dips and an array of celebratory drinks.

Aldi also offers its click-and-collect service at over 200 stores, meaning customers can access Aldi groceries online ahead of the Jubilee Bank Holiday. Shoppers can choose from a range of grocery items online, then drive to their local store where their shopping is brought to their car by Aldi colleagues. Customers wanting to use click-and-collect can visit groceries.aldi.co.uk to book a timeslot for collection in selected stores.

The Platinum Jubilee is set to be popular at Aldi this June, after their Jubilee edition of Kevin the Carrot and friends sold out before 9am on Sunday, May 22. The toys are due to launch in store this Thursday, May 26, with shoppers expected to get up early to bag one.
