Aldi confirm BrewDog's 'ALD IPA' could soon be hitting their shelves

Supermarket giant Aldi have announced BrewDog's new 'ALD IPA' could soon be hitting their shelves.

BrewDog founder James Watt revealed the new beer label after a long-running online Twitter feud with the supermarket.

The firm quipped that the new beer would have to get past its quality control first though.

The two brands have been locked in a Twitter spat after a customer pointed out Aldi's 'Anti Establishment IPA' beer appeared to be a mocking take on BrewDog's own Punk IPA.

Noting the similarities to the Aberdeenshire beer brand's flagship beer, the person added that the name of Aldi’s take on the IPA, which also comes in a blue can, was "legendary".

BrewDog boss James then quipped his firm would be releasing a 'new beer' entitled Yaldi.

However after the chain hit back with a preference for 'ALD IPA', entrepreneur James agreed that that's what they'd make instead.

Fans are seemingly delighted that the two are now working together.

BrewDog tweeted if Aldi listed their ALD IPA it would plant one tree in their new BrewDog forest for every single case the chain sells.

Responding that this was growing into a "beautiful friendship", Aldi's official Twitter account wrote: "Keep an eye out, BrewDog’s ALD IPA should be hitting our shelves soon!

"We'll also plant one tree in the BrewDog forest for every case sold!"

One beer fan responded: "This is the sort of great collaboration sparked by lovely banter that I come to Twitter to see.

"Great work guys, I'll be checking in my local store."

While another added that they could do nothing but "applaud this epic exchange and outcome".

Both Aldi and BrewDog have been contacted for comment but have yet to respond.

We'll also plant one tree in the @BrewDog forest for every case sold!
