Aldi comes under fire from parents over design of 'creepy' Kevin the Carrot toy range

Supermarket giant Aldi has come under fire with parents over the design of its Christmas plush toys from the Kevin the Carrot range.

This year shoppers can get their hands on Kevin and his family, as well as Ebanana Scrooge and Marcus Radishford.

The toys go on sale on November 25 in Aldi stores, Manchester Evening News reports.

Posting on a popular Aldi fan group, one shopper shared a picture of the collection of toys, writing: "First look at some of the Kevin Toys for 2021..."

However, shoppers were quickly distracted after spotting what they look like in the photo.

Writing under the post, one person slammed: "When I saw the first Aldi advert I got super excited for the little cute banana! Thinking yes he is so darn cute I need him!

"But now looking at these. I’m well disappointed the banana looks scary and massive and Marcus looks like a tomato. The only one I like is bearded Kevin!"

Somebody else wrote: "Love the first look but man that banana is creepy!"

"That banana is scary!!" said a third.

A fourth commented: "Why does Ebanana look like Count Drac? Hahaha."

However, not everyone hated the banana so much.

"I hate these and I hate big stuffed toys BUT I love that Banana," said one shopper.

Another fan commented: "I want the banana. did u manage to get urz."

Aldi has been approached for comment.
