Aldi click and collect launches at three more Bristol stores

Aldi shoppers can now place orders online and pick them up in person at three more Bristol branches.

The supermarket has rolled out its click and collect service following a successful trial last month at its Henbury store and then at Longwell Green.

People who want to avoid traipsing around the aisles and queuing at the check-out can simply order from Aldi's website and collect their shopping during pre-booked collection slots.

Fishponds, Portishead and Bedminster are the stores newly announced for the expansion of click and collect in Bristol.

Customers will be able to select one-hour collection slots and head to dedicated click and collect points, at the supermarket car parks.

They can then wait to have their shopping brought directly to them by Aldi staff, contact-free, in line with social distancing rules.

Giles Hurley, chief executive officer at Aldi UK and Ireland, said: "Aldi’s quality products and unbeatable prices have never been so in demand.

"Extending this trial is about providing thousands more of our existing customers with another convenient way to shop with us, while also making Aldi accessible for many others who may not have shopped with us before."

The click and collect service will be rolled out to 200 additional stores by Christmas.

Aldi is also trialling a rapid delivery service in partnership with Deliveroo, which has recently extended to almost 130 stores across the UK.

Customers living near selected stores can order from a range of around 400 Aldi products and have them delivered to their doorstep, in as little as 20 minutes.

The Deliveroo service is operating at five branches in the Bristol area, as reported last week.
