Aldi changes bank holiday weekend opening times in over 800 stores

With the late May bank holiday fast approaching, there is some important news for shoppers across the North East.

Supermarket giant Aldi has announced that it will be changing its opening hours on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The change will apply to more than 800 of its stores across the whole of England and Wales, the MEN reports.

Bosses there revealed the stores affected by the change will be open until 10pm on Saturday, May 29 and 4pm on Sunday May 30, to ensure everyone can pick up everything they need to enjoy the long weekend.

The supermarkets affected will be open until 8pm on bank holiday Monday.

The full details of Aldi supermarket opening times over the Bank Holiday weekend are:

  • Saturday, May 29: 8am to 10pm
  • Sunday, May 30: 10am to 4pm
  • Monday. May 31: 8am to 8pm

The company has pointed out that opening times at some of its stores may vary, so customers are advised to check details on Aldi’s website before making their trip. Opening hours in Scotland remain unchanged.

Customers wanting to use click-and-collect can visit the Aldi website to book a timeslot for collection in selected stores.
