Aldi are advertising jobs for £76,000 a year - here's how to apply

It turns out Aldi pay Waitrose wages.

The supermarket chain, a favourite for families looking to shop on a budget, are one of the most respected graduate employers around.

The retail giant is looking for new area managers - and the salary ain't half bad.

Aldi will pay you £76,000 per year to manage and maintain multiple branches across the UK.

Candidates will be expected to have a keen interest in retail management as well as a 2:1 degree in any subject area.

If you don't have a degree, there are two entry routes based on experience too, reports Essex Live.

The job role requires you to manage and develop stores and their teams, as well as ensuring each store is meeting sales targets while liaising with the wider business to carry out new initiatives.

Graduates coming straight from university can receive a starting salary of over £52,540, which then rises to a staggering £76,495 after four years.

The 10 secret Aldi tricks and tips you need to know

The graduate area manager programme is 12 months of training, during which successful applicants are given the necessary training required to successfully manage a regional workforce.

You will work side-by-side with store and regional distribution centre teams to immerse yourself in head office operations.

After the year-long training programme, area managers are then given the keys to their very own area of three to four stores and take full responsibility for operations in their designated area.

When you apply for the programme, you are asked to select your first and second choice regions.

Applications and more information on all of Aldi's positions can be found on Aldi's recruitment website: www.aldirecruitment.co.uk/graduates
