Aldi apologises to shoppers as it removes popular items from stores

Fans of Aldi will know that there's one thing in particular that makes the supermarket stand out - its selection of Special Buys.

From baby and toddler items to pizza ovens, garden swings and giant carrot toys, there's always something to keep shoppers interested while they're browsing the middle aisle.

But now, as a result of the current pandemic, Aldi has taken the decision to remove some of its special buys from stores.

According to the ECHO, a message on Aldi's website has now been put up to informing shoppers that while they'll still be able to shop Special Buys online, some items will not be available in stores as planned.

The notice reads: "Unfortunately, you won’t find many of our Baby & Toddler Specialbuys in store on Monday 13th April as planned.

"However, you can still shop the full range below and have them delivered straight to your door."

A message on its Special Buys homepage also says: "You may have noticed that not all our advertised Specialbuys have been available to purchase in store due to current events.

"We're pleased to be able to tell you that many of these are still available to purchase online, while stocks last."
