Aldi apologise after Liverpool store to close for nearly a week

Aldi shoppers who use a certain store in Liverpool will have to change their habits for a few days after it announced it is to temporarily close.

Customers will have to go a little further afield to do their big shop or look for SpecialBuy bargains.

The good news is the closure isn’t for long and those returning will then find a brand new, updated store.

The Aldi store on Gateacre Park Drive has sent a leaflet to local shoppers letting them know about the closure for five days. On Friday, October 2 the store will shut earlier than usual at 6pm and remain closed for nearly a week, opening back up at 8am on Thursday, October 8.

The notice says: “Over the coming weeks we will be making some improvements to your local Gateacre Aldi store to enhance your shopping experience.”

Changes being made include an improved layout, increased chiller capacity, new shelving, updated signage and improved lighting. The store will also be redecorated.

The notice added: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time”.

The nearest Aldi store customers can use during the closure is Aldi, Ravenscourt Centre, Leather’s Lane L26 0TX, which is open from 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday. This store is 11 minutes drive away and can be reached on the 75, 78 and 79 bus services.
