Aldi announces new opening times for bank holiday Friday and the weekend

Supermarket Aldi has announced its opening hours for the bank holiday weekend.

This year early May bank holiday will be celebrated on Friday, May 8 instead of Monday to mark the 75th anniversay of VE Day.

Those planning to do their essential shop on Friday or over the weekend need to be aware of the opening hours.

Posting on Twitter the supermarket wrote: "Planning to do your shopping this weekend? Here's when we're open.

"Please note store opening hours may differ depending on location."

Aldi's bank holiday opening hours are as follows.

Friday: 8am to 8pm

Saturday: 8am to 10pm

Sunday: 10am to 4pm

The new hours mean Aldi will be closing its doors two hours early on Friday.

It's worth noting, however, that priority opening times for emergency workers who can enter stores thirty minutes early on Sundays.

Aldi have confirmed that your shopping trip may be more enjoyable between the hours of 7pm and 10pm.

The busiest time in general tends to be late morning.

However, each store may vary.
