Aldi and B&M now selling gym equipment - and from as little as £3

It is 2021 and just like any other year, we have started making New Year's resolutions.

Whether it be eating healthy, more travelling or the classic get fit mantra, we all have something we want to aim for in the coming year.

For those of us on a budget and want to lose some of those pounds we may have put on over Christmas, lockdown one, two and well - any other lockdown you could be in - you're in luck.

Aldi and B&M stores are selling fitness equipment for those who can't attend the gym because they are closed.

The shops are selling everything from dumbbells and yoga mats and even rowing machines, reports Birmingham Live.

It means you can work out from the comfort of your own home - perfect whilst gyms are temporarily closed.

Aldi's range hits its stores on New Year's Eve, with many of the items also available online.

Its range includes a cheap-as-chips rowing machine for just £199.99, a barbell set for £29.99 and a variety of dumbbells for £4.99 to £8.99.

Aldi has also invented its own FITT Cube, which gives users a total body workout for £99.99, a power rack for £279.99 and a weighted bag of £24.99.

Abs can be toned by using the 6-in-1 multi-trainer for £24.99 and strength and cardio can be worked using the  £17.99 slam balls.

High Street favourite B&M has also jumped on the health and fitness bandwagon with an expanded range of products.

There is a 4kg kettlebell for just £5, and a pack of three training bands for £4, dumbbells for £3, yoga mats for £6, toning tube for £3 and gym ball for £6.

For those looking to cut down on calories, the chain has started stocking WW (Weightwatchers) and George Foreman grills and fryers. and a 'portion plate' for £2.
