A new complex for children's mental health services will be built at Liverpool's Alder Hey hospital in the latest transformation of the site.
Proposals to build a new "community cluster" and an in-patient ward for children were approved by Liverpool Council's planning committee earlier this month.
The development is part of a much larger expansion plan for the hospital which is being pursued in stages.
A report recommending the plans for approval said the new buildings would relocate children and young people's mental health services that were currently scattered across the site.

The report says: "The Community Cluster building brings together a range of clinical and operational support services that are currently scattered around the hospital site: Child and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHS), neuro assessment, orthotics and psychology outpatients departments. A community police station is also incorporated into the building, with a separate entrance.
"The Dewi Jones unit is a secure inpatient mental health facility for young people aged 5 to 13, occupied Monday to Friday, with a reduced occupation at the weekends. The unit will be relocated from current facilities in North Liverpool to the hospital site, enabling proximity to additional medical support."
The wider transformation of the Alder Hey site includes plans for a range of other facilities, including incorporating a large park that would wrap around the site.
That is part of a plan to restore open space to the area. The hospital's newer buildings were constructed on Springfield Park as part of a land swap deal with Liverpool Council in 2012.
The conclusion of that proposal is meant to result in the restoration of public green space that was lost when parts of Springfield Park were built over.
