Albion Rovers goalkeeper Cammy Binnie says it was good to see old faces when facing Stirling Albion - but he couldn't believe a penalty was given against him.
Brian Reid's side beat the Binos 1-0 in League Two action on Saturday, a first half goal from Kyle Doherty enough to seal the win. Both the home and away team finished with 10 men as Aron Lynas and Adam Cummins were sent off.
Binnie joined the Cliftonhill team in the summer after a spell at Forthbank, and he won Man of the Match against his ex-club.
The Wee Rovers number one also conceded a penalty after he was alleged to have fouled Dale Carrick in the box - but the forward trundled it wide. Binnie says the occasion was a good one - but he shouldn't have faced a spot-kick.
The 24-year-old said: "It's always nice playing against familiar faces and people you remember. But at the end of the day, it's just a game of football.
"All that goes out the window when the ref's whistle goes. When the full-time whistle goes, then we are good friends. But when we are out on the park, none of it matters, as you have to win the game.
"Things like the penalty happen in football. I've came out and tried to get the ball. I don't think it's a penalty and he's (Carrick) looking for it.
"But the ref has made his decision and there's no changing that once it's made. We end up getting away with it."
The win puts Albion Rovers three points outside the promotion play-off spots in League Two, as a positive response to Tuesday's 3-1 defeat to Stenhousemuir was shown against Stirling Albion.
Binnie added: "It's a massive three points for us as we had to bounce back from Tuesday night. In the first half on Tuesday we were good, but the second half was disappointing.
"We lost goals but we bounced back on Saturday and it's a massive three points for the lads. It's never easy going down to 10 men.
"It wasn't pretty but sometimes it's like that in football. You have to deal with things and get on with it. The boys dug in and got three points."
