Albion Rovers director Colin Woodward steps down

Colin Woodward has stepped down as a director at Albion Rovers, but says there has been no fall-out with the club.

Woodward will continue his duties as secretary, and said it's simply the case that he had to shed his workload for work and family commitments.

He said: "It was a very difficult decision to make, I just need to make more time for other things at the moment, that's all.

"I'm still going to be there and doing most of the things I was doing before, but I've had to take a step back somewhere and decided that was the area where it would be.

"Rather than training anybody else up on any of the secretarial duties, because they're quite onerous anyway, I just decided to stay on, but something had to give.

"It's just reducing my work-load to fit in with other work-family things, that's all.

"I'll be there at 9.30am tomorrow morning with my steel toe-capped boots, doing something!

"I started at Rovers five years ago, became the photographer, secretary and a director. I had a hand in just about everything and I've found it hard to let any of it go, but i had to shed the workload."
