Albion Rovers are facing a SPFL investigation after seven players and staff tested positive for Covid-19, forcing their second fixture call off in a week.
Today's League Two trip to Cowdenbeath has been postponed while the SPFL investigate the events surrounding the outbreak at the club.
And that comes seven days after the Coatbridge outfit were forced to forfeit their Betfred Cup tie with Hamilton Accies, resulting in Accies being awarded a 3-0 win.
Rovers were unable to field a team last week after midfielder Gregor Fotheringham tested positive and two other staff members reported symptoms, leading to gaffer Brian Reid asking for the SPFL to reconsider league reconstruction amid fears the Covid chaos would have catastrophic effects on Rovers' season.
Now Covid has spread further in the part-time club, with the tally of positive players rising to seven.
A statement from the SPFL read: "Saturday’s Scottish League 2 match between Cowdenbeath and Albion Rovers at Central Park has been postponed after Albion Rovers informed the SPFL that they could not fulfil the fixture.
"Albion Rovers have informed the SPFL that, due to seven players and staff testing positive for Covid-19 and several other players self-isolating, they have insufficient players to fulfil the fixture.
"As a result, and in line with standard procedure, the SPFL has postponed the fixture pending an investigation into the events at Albion Rovers."
Rovers are currently joint-bottom of League Two with three points from four games.
