Albion Rovers boss Brian Reid says it’s a victory for common sense that their match against Cowdenbeath has been moved from Thursday to Saturday.
The Coatbridge club put in a request before Saturday's 1-1 draw with Annan because they were already following up that game with a home clash against Queen’s Park tomorrow night and a trip to Stirling Albion next Tuesday.
It’s a challenging schedule but moving the Blue Brazil game to this weekend gives them breathing space.
And Reid said: “It makes a lot of sense, because it’s difficult enough with so many games and it really would be a tough one to be Saturday-Tuesday-Thursday.

“Especially when there otherwise isn’t a game on Saturday, because I think Cowdenbeath have a game on Tuesday as well, so it makes sense for everybody.
“I’m pleased with that decision.
“It’s needed because it’s a big ask for everybody. It’s really tough for any team in the league, even for full-time teams, never mind part-time teams it’s difficult.
“Our problem is that we need to make sure everybody gets around their work commitments, and that’s the difficulty you get at part-time level, so hopefully everyone’s okay.
“You hope for a wee bit of luck that you don’t get injuries during this period.
“Every team is in the same boat, so hopefully we’re fine.”
