Albian Ajeti's seven-word Celtic response to critics as he hits back at 'diver' claims

Defiant Albian Ajeti has hit back at his critics who called him a "diver' after he was cleared of his SFA charge for simulation.

The Celtic striker was hit with a notice of complaint by the governing body after winning his side a penalty against Kilmarnock.

Ajeti was cleared of any wrongdoing as the Parkhead successfully appealed the decision, but pundits claimed he had conned the referee before a verdict was made.

And the Swiss international insists pundits can call him 'whatever they want' as he was free to face St Mirren on Thursday night.

He said: "Yeah, I was a bit surprised. I didn't know about the process here.

"Now I know and I'm happy that I could play.

"There are many things footballers need to hear about that are not true. This is part of our profession, we have to accept it.

"They can call us whatever they want.

"But we know what's going on on the pitch.

"If they want to call me that they should call me that, but it isn't true.

"But, as I said, this is part of football and we have to accept it and keep our focus on the right things."
