Albian Ajeti makes Celtic position promise as he gives Odsonne Edouard verdict

Albian Ajeti insists he can play anywhere in Celtic's attack as he looks forward to a fruitful partnership with Odsonne Edouard.

The Swiss striker penned a four-year deal at Parkhead from West Ham on Thursday.

It's expected Ajeti's arrival will signal a 3-5-2 formation with Edouard linking up with the new signing.

Ajeti predominantly played as a lone striker during his second stint at Basel, before making the move to the Premier League.

But he insists he can play with one, two or even three strikers and promises his versatility will give Neil Lennon plenty of options.

He said: "I can play as one of two strikers or on my own or with 3! I have played in many different systems. For me it is most important to attack and Celtic is an attacking club so it's a perfect fit.

"I'm looking forward to playing with (Odsonne) Edouard. I think me and him will be a good match together. I'm a hard working striker who scores goals and works hard on and of the pitch."

Ajeti played alongside Mohamed Elyounoussi in Switzerland and admitted he had a conversation with the Celtic winger before sealing his move to Glasgow.

He added: "I had a chat with Mohamed Elyounoussi and he told me about the city. He loves life here and says the city is beautiful and the club is great."
