Albian Ajeti handed three word Celtic future verdict as Hoops hero admits: 'I have no idea why'

Frank McAvennie has delivered a three-word verdict over a Celtic future for Albian Ajeti.

The Swiss striker - signed by Neil Lennon from West Ham - fell down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou and departed the club this summer on a season-long loan agreement to Sturm Graz. He's featured 15 times for his temporary club this campaign to date scoring just three goals. Two of those strikes came in the league with one in the cup with his loan side currently six points off RB Salzburg in the race for the title.

Giorgos Giakoumaki s looks set to depart Parkhead with clubs in Japan, USA and Spain reported to be showing an interest with Kyogo Furuhashi the clear first-choice for the Scottish champions. “You need to be a certain kind of animal to play for big clubs like Celtic and Rangers because the demand from the supporters is unbelievable. You have either got it or you have not.

“He could not even get a game for West Ham and then Celtic bought him. I have no idea why they bought him. He looked alright.

“The money he was on was incredible but he was lazy. It might just be that the pressure got to him. Now the pressure is off him and he is enjoying it.“
