Albian Ajeti faces Celtic ban as Scott Brown escapes punishment for 'elbow'

Celtic striker Albian Ajeti faces a two game ban after being hit with a notice of complaint for simulation.

The Swiss frontman went down under a challenge from Colin Doyle during the second half of the 4-0 win over Kilmarnock on Tuesday night.

And now he could be banned for two games after being accused of breaking rule 201 which states: "No player shall cause a match official to make an incorrect decision and/or support an error of judgment on the part of a match official by an act of simulation which results in that player’s team obtaining a Substantial Advantage."

He'll face a hearing with the SFA panel on Monday, February 8 and would miss games against St Mirren and St Johnstone.

But Celtic won't face any issues with Scott Brown after the midfielder was cleared of any wrongdoing after being accused of an elbow on Aaron Tshibola.

Brown was just back from a suspension after being sent off for an elbow on Livingston youngster Jaze Kabia.

But Neil Lennon will be able to call on him in the coming games after a panel of referees decided Kevin Clancy didn't miss any issue.
