Albian Ajeti congratulated on Celtic move as Albanian president makes 10 In A Row prediction

New Celtic signing Albian Ajeti has been tipped to fire his new side to 10 In A Row by Albanian president Ilir Meta.

The Swiss international completed a £5million move from West Ham United on Thursday, signing up on a four-year contract.

Ajeti was born and raised in Basle but both of his parents are from Albania and brother Arlind plays for the national team.

The new Celtic signing could have followed suit, and was on the brink of a call-up in 2016, but eventually decided to represent the country of his birth.

His connection to his ancestral home remains strong though, with he and his family speaking Albanian in the home.

It came as no surprise then that Celtic super-fan and president of Albania Meta was delighted by his signing.

He wrote on Twitter: "Congratulations and much success to Albian Ajeti for number 10 and to Celtic FC for 10 In A Row! Hail Hail!"

The Albanian premier is a fan of the Scottish champions thanks to Rudi Vata's spell at Parkhead.

Meta regularly posts about Neil Lennon 's side amid updates on the coronavirus situation and other domestic issues.

Following the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock on Sunday he wrote "a draw on a difficult transfer is not at all discouraging. Thank you Ryan Christie for your wonderful goal!" while a few days previously he had wished a happy birthday to Moi Elyounoussi.
