Celtic target Alberth Elis has opened up on his desperation to move to Europe and revealed he is in talks with several clubs as he primes himself to leave Houston Dynamo.
Neil Lennon 's men reportedly bid £3m for the star last season but saw their offer kiboshed by the MLS.
Countryman Emilio Izaguirre confirmed the Parkhead club were looking at the player but a deal could not be reached with the American league.
Elis admitted he was frustrated that he never got a chance to speak to Celtic and is out of contract at the end of December.
He has been offered a new deal by the Texan club but the 24-year-old, who has also been linked with a move to Stoke City and Fenerbahce, has made clear he has ambitions to follow Izaguirre's footsteps and play in Europe.

He said: "My dream to be able to go to Europe and this is my chance.
"This is a real opportunity and I think I will make the decision that I will leave Houston and give Europe a go.
"There are a few teams we are already talking to in Europe and Houston have also made me a contract offer, a very good one too."
Elis, who has netted 31 goals in 92 games for Dynamo, cost Houston £2 million he signed from Monterrey three years ago.
