Albert Foundry Academy kids to remember Jordan Banks with charity walk

Young footballers from Albert Foundry Academy will take part in a charity walk next week in memory of Jordan Banks.

Jordan, 9, was killed by a lightning strike as he played football in Blackpool, Lancashire, last month.

Albert Foundry's 11/12s section will walk seven laps of Paisley Park to raise money for Clifton Rangers Under 9s team, who Jordan played for.

The charity event will take place on Tuesday, June 15, starting at 6pm.

"All money raised will be donated to the U9 Bees team to use how they wish for their section," Albert Foundry said.

"Parents of the 11/12s are welcome to come along and encourage the kids along. There will be a balloon release when the last lap is finished along with a team photo.

"You can still donate all this week and next.

"Thank you to everyone who has donated so far it's greatly appreciated."
