Albert Adomah says he agreed to join Nottingham Forest as he believes the club are heading for the Premier League

Albert Adomah has targeted a hat-trick of promotions to the Premier League - and believes he knows the secret to success for Nottingham Forest .

The winger has won a place in the Premier League with both Middlesbrough and Aston Villa.

And the 31-year-old says he agreed to move to the City Ground as he believes he is joining a club that can take the same journey.

Adomah says the key to success at Boro and Villa was the same - focussing on the team, not individuals.

And he is convinced the Reds can enjoy the same success under Sabri Lamouchi, after spending time with his new teammates in what he already feels is a united dressing room.

“I think the secret to success; the secret to promotion is working together as a team,” said Adomah. “It is not about individuals.

“At both teams I have been at that won promotion, yes, you might have some talented players; the odd magician who can create something.

“But it is as a team, having the work rate and the desire to work together that is the key to it.

“Everyone has to turn up for every game and produce a 7/10 performance as a minimum.

“If you can do that and if you can produce the odd 8/10 performance on top of that, you are going to secure victories and success.”

Adomah still has a hunger to play in the top flight and hopes he can achieve that during the course of the two-year deal he has signed with Forest.

But, in the short-term, he says his only focus is on helping Forest put together a promotion push this season.

“I think I have joined a team that is capable of securing success. Why not?” he said.

“I am here for two years, but I want to showcase my talent. For me, I have ambition. Hopefully I can make it a hat-trick of promotions.

“I still have that hunger to prove myself in the top flight as well. If I get the chance to produce, why not?

“But I am also realistic. At the moment I know we are in the Championship - so my only ambition is to make it a hat-trick of promotions and I want that to be with Forest.”
