Alastair Campbell grills Greg Wise on why wife Emma Thompson packed condoms for him

Alastair Campbell couldn't resist asking Greg Wise about condoms during a chat on Wednesday's Good Morning Britain.

Greg, 55, previously revealed that his wife Emma Thompson had packed protection when sending him off for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The Love Actually actress was, of course, poking fun at the Strictly 'curse' and clearly wanted to make light of the situation.

As Greg appeared on the ITV breakfast show alongside his professional partner Karen Hauer, host Alastair randomly blurted out: "Can we talk condoms?"

Greg and Karen burst out laughing as Alastair continued: "Well, your wife helped you pack and put a couple of condoms in your luggage."

Greg replied: "My wife, as you know, is a great gagmeister. And so, the whole Strictly curse thing, to put it into some form of perspective, send it off with a really good gag!"

Elsewhere in the chat, Alastair asked Greg for his advice on whether or not he should do Strictly in the future.

"I've been asked to do Strictly virtually every every year, should I do it?" Alastair admitted, which prompted Greg to ask him how old he is.

When Alastair told him he's 64, Greg joked: "It would kill you!"

Susanna and Alastair also asked Greg his thoughts on the low score he was given by judge Craig Revel Horwood last weekend.

Greg had performed a very moving disco dance with Karen as a tribute to his late sister Clare, who sadly passed away in 2016.

""Oh look, I think when you have a huge, great bubbling mass of emotion in a space, some people get a bit frightened by it.

"I know nothing about Craig, bless him," he said. "I think he was unable to access the joy and emotion and the explosive energy of the piece, and that was rubbish. Thats fine, that's his choice," Greg added.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
