Alanis Morissette celebrates Jagged Little Pill's 25th anniversary with musical and tour

Alanis Morissette is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the classic breakup album Jagged Little Pill in a big way - with a 31-stop 25th-anniversary tour kicking off in June in Portland, Oregon as well as a musical featuring all her hits.

But the ‘Ironic’ singer won’t be the only iconic one on her upcoming tour, announced today - it’s practically a Lilith Fair '90s feminist recreation, with Garbage and Liz Phair joining her on the road. The tour’s crossing America, hitting amphitheaters across the country and ending in Nashville, Tennessee in July 2020.

Break out your flannels and get ready to come clean with the 45-year-old singer - but if you can't make a tour date, join her on Broadway.

The '90s-inspired tour isn't the only throwback Morissette is partaking in to celebrate the anniversary of the epic album. Fans can flock to the deeply emotional Jagged Little Pill musical on Broadway, which officially opens on December 5. The musical is directed by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus with a story written by Academy Award-winning Juno writer Diablo Cody.

Derek Klena, Kathryn Gallagher, Sean Allan Krill, Elizabeth Stanley, Celia Rose Gooding and Lauren Patten (Matthew Murphy)

The musical's intense plot touches on plenty of pertinent topics, including drug addiction and rape culture.

It stars Broadway mainstays alongside newcomers who are sure to show up on your Netflix soon. Derek Klena, who previously appeared in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt as DJ Fingablast, plays a Connecticut teen planning on heading to Harvard in the fall. The play also features The O.C. dad Peter Gallagher's daughter Kathryn Gallagher, who was in the Lifetime TV show You as well as in Spring Awakening. She plays Bella, a teen dealing with the fallout from a sexual assault at a high school party.

The song list includes fan favorites from the inescapable Jagged Little Pill album including ‘Hand in My Pocket,’ ‘Ironic,’ ‘Hands Clean,’ ‘Head Over Feet’ and ‘You Oughta Know.’

With all of the anniversary celebrations, Morissette isn’t living in the past. She recently released the single ‘Reasons I Drink’ and has a new album coming out in May.
