Alan Shearer urges Man Utd to sign England trio to help get back to the top again

Alan Shearer has urged Manchester United to take advantage of the uncertainty in the transfer market this summer and snap up three English stars they have been heavily linked with.

Jadon Sancho, Harry Kane and Jack Grealish are all seemingly being watched closely by Old Trafford chiefs, with all three of them facing uncertain futures at their current clubs.

Sancho has long been tipped to return to England from Borussia Dortmund, while Kane and Grealish could be tempted to pastures new despite their ongoing commitment to current clubs Tottenham and Aston Villa.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken of how his club can "exploit" the financial difficulties being faced by some outfits amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and Shearer thinks that the Red Devils should make a huge power play to snap up all three stars.

Harry Kane is one of the players United should move for, says Shearer (PA)

"Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was spot on when he said there could be a number of clubs forced into selling their big players for financial reasons," Shearer told The Sun.

"Whereas the majority will look to survive first before looking at transfer targets, Manchester United are in a different boat.

"And with their financial clout, they are in a good position to take advantage in future transfer markets once football is eventually back.

"To get anywhere near where they want to be then they need three, possibly four, big signings.

"I understand the talk of Jadon Sancho, I understand the talk of Harry Kane and I certainly understand the talk of Jack Grealish.

"Those three are exactly the types they need if they are to compete at the top again."

Of the three, Sancho is said to be the closest to finalising a deal with United ahead of the summer.
