Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer will take a place in the commentary gantry for the Boxing Day clash with Manchester United.
The club’s all-time leading scorer will form a strong commentary team with ITV’s England commentator Clive Tyldsley.
However, there will be more of a Manchester United slant in the studio as Owen Hargreaves and Peter Schmeichel take their place alongside anchor Matt Smith.
Amazon producer Alex Green has been speaking about their approach this month.
He said: “We wanted to create a broad and diverse talent line-up with a mixture of both familiar faces and new ones.
“The sheer breadth and depth of our line-up shows how much we are investing in this.
“Some of our talent already work with Amazon, for example Gabby Logan and Peter Crouch on Back of the Net, or Catherine Whitaker, Karthi Gnaransegaram and Marcus Buckland on our live tennis coverage.
“It’s a pleasure to bring Jim Rosenthal back to TV football and to welcome the next generation of top sports presenters like Eilidh Barbour and Seema Jaswal.
“We also have familiar faces in the world of football including Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer and Lee Dixon. We are delighted to be working with this team to bring Premier League football to Prime Video.“
Newcastle's game at Old Trafford kicks off on Boxing Day at 5.30pm.
