Alan Shearer's wild celebration as Newcastle United beat Chelsea with last minute winner

Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer could not control his joy as he watched the club beat Chelsea at St James' Park.

Isaac Hayden headed home with 94 minutes on the clock to send the crowd - and Shearer into raptures.

Chelsea had dominated possession - 70% - meaning United were defending with their lives for the majority of the game.

Joelinton hit the bar in the first half with a header but Chelsea goakeeper Kepa had little to do.

Yet with all their possession, Chelsea could only muster four shots on goal - and forced Martin Dubrakva into only one difficult save as Kolo Kante fired at his legs in the first 45.

With Chelsea pushing, United won a throw-in which was taken quickly by Allan Saint-Maximin - the Frenchman playing in Joelinton down the left.

United's number nine won a corner which Chelsea cleared but only as far as Saint-Maximin who fired in the cross and Hayden headed home.

Watching the game as part of his Match of the Day preparation, Shearer was filmed by Gary Lineker running round the green room punching the air in delight.
