Alan Shearer says Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford would be fools to not learn from Edinson Cavani at Manchester United.
The Uruguayan has had a positive impact at United since joining on a free transfer in October, netting four goals in 13 appearances.
At 33, Cavani has plenty of experience to call upon, and Shearer feels that United's youthful attackers should make the most of it.
Speaking on Amazon Prime, Shearer said Cavani's impact in the dressing room could be as important as it is on the pitch.
He said: "It’s only going to benefit the likes of Rashford and Greenwood.
"When you look in the dressing room and you see a player of his stature, then you’d be a fool not to follow him closely, both on and off-the-pitch, with his record wherever he’s been, he’s been a success.
"For him to come to a club like this where there’s so much potential, all the youngsters can look up to him and learn."
Cavani's most impactful performances so far have come when appearing as a substitute, as he helped the Reds come from behind to beat Southampton in November and also set Bruno Fernandes up against Leicester City at the weekend.
Yet Shearer says Cavani can have the same impact when starting a match as he has had when coming off the bench.
He said: "There's no reason why not, wherever he's been, he's scored goals. He's a class act. We saw him when he came on against Leicester and he didn't score but he had a huge impact on the game and set Bruno Fernandes up.
"We saw him again coming on at half-time against Southampton, scoring two and assisting. He's a quality player, he can assist and he can score goals."
