Alan Shearer names the two Arsenal players at fault for Lewis Dunk's equaliser for Brighton

Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer has slammed Arsenal for being 'all over the place' in their 2-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

The Gunner led at the AMEX Stadium only to concede twice in the last 15 minutes, losing to the struggling Seagulls for the second time this season.

Following their defeat on the South Coast, former Newcastle striker turned pundit Shearer has slammed the Gunners, particularly for their defending for Lewis Dunk's equaliser.

David Luiz: Is his reputation as error-prone unfair?

"Winning 1-0 with 20 minutes to go, you’re looking for organisation and leadership.," he said on Match of the Day.

"They were slow out, Saka’s keeping them onside, Lacazette has got to sprint out, Brighton have got a 2v1, it’s far too easy to get that ball in there.

"Dunk’s quickest to react, but Arsenal are all over the place. They’re winning 1-0, they’re comfortable, they’re creating chances and they concede a goal like that.

"They go to sleep, it’s the same old, same old. Arsenal have the lead 13 times in games this season, and only won six of them, that tells the story."

Arsenal have now lost two from two since their return from the coronavirus break.

Their latest setback leaves them still eight points off the top four with fourth-place Chelsea still with a game to play.
