Alan Shearer names Man City trio in his Premier League team of the week

Manchester City produced a wonderful comeback at home to Leicester City on Sunday which has led to reaction aplenty.

The Blues trailed 1-0 in the first half thanks to Jamie Vardy's strike before Riyad Mahrez's deflected shot levelled the contest, with Ilkay Gundogan's penalty and Gabriel Jesus's efforts seeing Pep Guardiola's side home.

Kyle Walker has earned a nod in defence from Shearer at the right-back position, while the midfield sees Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne recognised.

Walker was fantastic at the Etihad Stadium, using his strength to keep the likes of Harvey Barnes at bay during the contest.

The 29-year-old also showed his talents from an attacking standpoint as he bombed forward in support of Mahrez on several occasions.

For De Bruyne it was another great display as he drove his side forward, with an array of delightful passing. He hit the post with one fantastic shot from distance, while he provided the assist for the final goal of the evening.

Meanwhile, Mahrez produced a much-improved performance and deserved the luck that came with City's opening goal of the encounter.
