Alan Shearer names Harry Kane and Thierry Henry among top 10 Premier League forwards of all-time

Alan Shearer has named his top 10 Premier League forwards of all-time.

The Newcastle United legend remains the highest-scoring Premier League player of all time with 260 goals.

At this moment in time, Tottenham forward Harry Kane has the best chance of dethroning the great, but he is still a long way off, currently sitting on 136 goals in the top-flight.

And now speaking in the latest Match of the Day Top 10 podcast, Shearer has ranked his top 10 forwards of all-time.

The top 10 English Premier League Goalscorers of All Time

Unsurprisingly, the former England captain has placed himself as number one, with Man City’s Sergio Aguero taking second spot, while Arsenal great Thierry Henry makes up the top three.

Elsewhere, Didier Drogba finds himself at number six, while Harry Kane is ninth on the list, one place ahead of Andy Cole.

And below is Shearer’s top 10 list in full.

10. Andy Cole

9. Harry Kane

8. Luis Suarez

7. Cristiano Ronaldo

6. Didier Drogba

5. Ruud van Nistelrooy

4. Wayne Rooney

3. Thierry Henry

2. Sergio Aguero

1. Alan Shearer

Kane has been out of action since New Year's Day with a hamstring injury, but is hoping to be fit for selection when the Premier League does eventually return.

Football in England is currently postponed until the end of April due to the coronavirus, though that date is still subject to change.
