Alan Shearer has paid a huge compliment to Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante by claiming that Leicester City and the Blues would not have won the Premier League title without him.
The Frenchman has won the league title with both clubs, having helped the Foxes to a fairytale triumph in the 2015/16 season, before then repeating the feat with Chelsea a year later.
And Shearer reckons that neither club would have won the league without the diminutive midfielder in their side as he waxed lyrical about the 27-year-old's impact on the Premier League.

"There is no way that Leicester City would have won the title without N'Golo Kante, and there is no way that Chelsea would have won the title without N'Golo Kante," the Newcastle United legend said, speaking as part of a debate over the best midfielder in the Premier League era on BBC programme.
"I don't think I have ever seen a midfielder with the energy that this guy has."

Kante was not named as the best overseas midfielder in the Premier League era though, with a panel of four - which also included former Chelsea boss Ruud Gullit, ex-Blackburn Rovers striker Chris Sutton and journalist Rory Smith - instead describing former Arsenal star Patrick Vieira as the best midfielder to have come from abroad to play in the top flight in recent seasons.
