Alan Shearer highlights Chelsea moment that shows there is an 'issue' in Thomas Tuchel's squad

Alan Shearer has claimed there is an obvious issue in the Chelsea dressing room after a disappointing 1-1 draw with Brighton added to Thomas Tuchel's worries.

The Blues came into the game desperate to pick up all three points following their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, but a lacklustre display was all the travelling fans witnessed from their team.

Hakim Ziyech fired them in front in the first half against the run of play, a well-struck shot catching Robert Sanchez out at his near post.

But as has frequently been the case in recent weeks, Chelsea were unable to build any momentum and allowed Brighton back into the game with ease.

After Adam Webster's free header levelled the scores midway through the second half, Brighton looked the more likely to go on and claim all three points, and may feel they should have done.

But after Ziyech opened the scoring, the Moroccan did not celebrate at all. In fact, he looked visibly irritated as his teammates jogged over to congratulate him.

Tuchel claimed in his post-match interview with BT Sport that the reason behind the lack of celebration was tiredness, but Shearer was not convinced.

Speaking on Premier League Productions after the game, the legendary Premier League striker claimed that it was a clear sign that there was an issue in the dressing room.

“Lack of celebration, lack of reaction. Heads down. I don’t need any more evidence there’s an issue in that dressing room,” he said, via ChelsTransfer on Twitter.

A moment was caught on camera just after half-time that also appeared to show Ziyech and Romelu Lukaku having an honest exchange of words that was discussed by fans.

Next up for Chelsea is a clash with Spurs at Stamford Bridge and arguably the perfect opportunity for them to bounce back to winning ways and gain some momentum in the race near the top of the Premier League table.
