Alan Shearer believes Jose Mourinho has altered his man-management style since his arrival at Tottenham.
Mourinho's stock is very much back on the rise following a successful start to life in North London, the Portuguese boss guiding Spurs to top of the table within his first year at the club.
But to achieve that, he has had to alter the way he deals with his players from his days at Manchester United, where things didn't go so well.
Or at least that's according to Newcastle United legend turned Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer, who told Amazon Prime: "There’s no doubt about it - he’s got his mojo back.
"You can tell that when he’s talking to the press, he’s talking to his players. This Spurs team, the way it’s set up, it’s perfect for him.”
He added: "You have to understand how you man-manage players. When Jose was at Man United, he lost a few of his players. I think he’s easing to that way of managing and understanding it.
"He may have one or two issues with Alli, but he hung players out to dry at Man United - and it wasn’t the first time - but he has to deal with players differently to when he first came in at Chelsea.
"It’s alright doing that to a John Terry, but players are more fragile now than they have been for a number of years.”
Shearer was speaking ahead of Tottenham's top-of-the-table clash with Liverpool, a game Spurs went into hoping to open a gap at the top with the two sides only separated by goal difference ahead of kick-off.
Both sides drew last time out, neither losing ground despite slipping up with Spurs picking up a point against Crystal Palace and Liverpool managing the same against strugglers Fulham.
