Alan Shearer says Paul Pogba 'epitomised everything wrong with Man Utd' vs Cardiff

Manchester United endured a nightmare end to a disappointing season as they were beaten 2-0 at home to relegated Cardiff .

It capped off a miserable final few weeks of their rollercoaster campaign having been held to a draw by bottom club Huddersfield in their penultimate fixture.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side came in for plenty of criticism - but former England star Alan Shearer pinpointed one moment from Paul Pogba which epitomised their problems.

The midfielder was slammed for his inability to track Josh Murphy from a throw-in as he fed Nathaniel Mendez-Laing for a tap in for Cardiff's second goal.

In his analysis of the game on Match of the Day, Shearer branded United's end to the season as "embarrassing" and pointed out how Pogba's role in the goal summed up their problems.
