Alan Shearer believes Rodrigo could be on track to beat his Leeds United goal return last season. The Spaniard scored six goals last season but already has three goals in the opening two games of this season.
The 31-year-old's best return in the colours of Leeds United came in his first season with the club, scoring seven goals in all competitions. Rodrigo has been far from prolific during his stint at Elland Road, but his fin start to the season could play a huge part in avoiding a repeat of last season.
Patrick Bamford's injury problems mean Jesse Marsch has had to rely on Rodrigo as his main source of goals and it's been so far so good for the pair. Rodrigo scored a brace in the second-half against Southampton to give Leeds a two goal lead, only for the Saints to fight back to earn a point.

Shearer told the Premier League: "[Rodrigo] Netted a brace to make it three goals in two matches. He is on target to better his six from 2021/22."
