Alan Reynolds wants more of the same from Waterford players as they host St. Pat's

Alan Reynolds wants more of the same as Waterford host St Pat's at the RSC as the Blues look to bounce back from two defeats on the spin.

Waterford went down 3-0 to the leaders Dundalk on Monday, and 2-1 to Bohs on Friday.

But Reynolds and his players will take encouragement from the fact that they've beaten the inconsistent Saints - who may have one eye on their Europa League tie in Sweden next week - in both league meetings of the clubs this term.

The timing of this fixture will come as a painful reminder to the hosts of losing out on the European place they thought was theirs to the Inchicore outfit, and it may give the Blues an edge.

“Last Friday was a tough result to take against Bohs here at the RSC," said Reynolds.

"It was a good performance so to lose in the last minute was tough to take. Monday’s game was a more difficult one. Credit to the players they had to work very hard against a Dundalk side who were just better on the night.

“We’ve had two good performances against St Pats this season already and we need that again.

"We’ve won both the games so far but that counts for nothing now - we need to bring a high level of performance to the pitch and get our momentum moving forward".
