Alan Power thrilled to sign new Kilmarnock deal as midfielder commits until 2022

Alan Power has handed Kilmarnock a late-season boost as he signed a new three-year contract.

The midfielder has been a key man under Steve Clarke and will now remain at Rugby Park until at least 2022.

Record Sport revealed last week Killie had offered the 31-year-old an extension.

Power has missed just one game for the Ayrshiremen this season and was thrilled to seal a deal ahead of this weekend's Premiership clash with Hamilton.

He told the Killie website: "I’m absolutely thrilled to extend my contract with Killie until the end of the 2022 season.”

“The fans here have always been great, and I’ve been lucky to play under Steve and feature regularly in the team.”

“The boys have been playing so well since the Manager arrived and I’m looking forward to continuing to do my best out there on the park.”

Power joined in June 2017 after leaving English League Two side Lincoln City.

He's also enjoyed stints at Nottingham Forest, Hartlepool and Rushden & Diamonds.
