Former Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has insisted that Richarlison shouldn’t have been taken off during Everton’s 3-1 defeat at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
The Toffees were already trailing to a Conor Gallagher strike when the Brazilian was replaced by Salomon Rondon in the second half, and were soon 2-0 down after James Tomkins doubled Palace’s lead.
Rondon did pull one back but Gallagher struck again in injury time to seal a comfortable win for the Eagles.
Richarlison started the match in fine fettle after scoring in the Blues' 2-1 win over Arsenal on Monday, he also had another two strikes chalked off by VAR.

ADAM JONES: What Everton fans did should concern Rafa Benitez more than Richarlison reaction
Rafael Benitez's decision to withdraw the 24-year-old led to boos from the travelling support and the Brazil forward visibly showed his frustration as he walked off the pitch.
Pardew empathised with Richarlison's annoyance but wasn’t impressed by his theatrics upon leaving the field of play.
“I felt that Richarlison should’ve stayed on the pitch because of his performance on Monday night. Pardew told Sky Sports during the post match analysis.
“He hadn’t had a great period up until that game because he was playing as a lone striker and that’s not his role.
“I can understand why he was slightly bemused when he came off, with my manager’s hat on I don’t want that kind of reaction from him.
“He was obviously upset, you don’t want to see that but in his defence on Monday night he was lively and he’s got that danger element about him.
Fellow pundit Graeme Souness added: “I think he’s entitled to be disappointed but as a manager you don’t want to see that reaction but I can understand it.”
The defeat leaves Everton 14th in the Premier League table, next up for the Blues is a trip to title chasing Chelsea on Thursday.
