Feb. 29--The longtime Beverly Hills home of Emmy-winning producer Alan Landsburg has come on the market for $5.695 million.
Built in the late 1950s and since updated, the two-story house has a contemporary vibe with a steel-clad front entry, gallery walls and a living room with an aquarium. Walls of floor-to-ceiling glass bring the outdoor living areas inside.
The main floor includes an open-plan chef's kitchen, a formal dining room and a wet bar. A gym and a media room with wet bar reside on the second story.
The master suite has beamed ceilings, a step-down sitting room and his and hers closets and bathrooms. A balcony with a hot tub sits off the master bedroom. In all, there are four bedrooms and five bathrooms in 7,390 square feet of space.
A swimming pool and spa, an outdoor lounge, formal landscaping and privacy hedges fill the grounds. A raised patio with an outdoor fireplace takes in views of the city and surrounding canyon area.
Landsburg, who died two years ago at 81, bought the house in 1998 for $2.339 million, property records show.

Landsburg was a prolific writer, director and producer whose credits include the naturalist series "The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau" and "Biography." His 1981 made-for-television movie "Bill" starred Mickey Rooney in an Emmy-winning role as Bill Sackter.
