Alan Hutton thinks the appointment of Russell Martin as Rangers manager 'could work'.
The 40-year-old is currently out of work after departing Premier League outfit Southampton earlier in the season.
Martin got the club promoted to the English top flight last year, but after a poor start to the current campaign, he was soon dismissed.

Hutton thinks his tactical set-up could work at Ibrox.
The full-back made over 100 Rangers appearances after coming through the academy.
Hutton was speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest football odds, he said: "The big thing for me is style of play, Russell Martin has shown that at MK Dons as well, where he started and then moved on to Swansea and Southampton.
"It didn't quite work in the Premier League because it’s a different animal and the way he plays open and expansive at times, especially when you're a smaller club in terms of the Premier League, it might not quite work for you.
"I think there's always a risk, whatever manager you bring in, but he's young, he's hungry, he wants to do well.
"I think it could work with his style. I think the fans would definitely take to it. But look, we're going to have to wait and see. After the takeover, they'll then decide. So like I said, there's going to be a lot of change in the upcoming months."
Barry Ferguson will remain in interim charge of Rangers for their final three league games of the season, the first of which will be played against Aberdeen this weekend.
