He's known on the Corrie cobbles as mechanic Tyrone Dobbs, and actor Alan Halsall showed off a hidden talent as he celebrated his girlfriend's 27th birthday in lockdown.
Alan surprised Tisha Merry by performing a rendition of Happy Birthday for her on the saxophone.
Tisha walked down the stairs and asked 'can I come in?'
And as she opened the lounge door Alan began to play.
"Happy birthday beautiful," he said at the end of his serenade on the eve of her special day.
The room was adorned with balloons for the former Corrie star, who played Steph Britton in the soap.
Romantic Alan had laid out a bottle of fizz ready to toast the occasion with a sushi dinner.
Tisha posted a video of the moment on her Instagram stories. She gasped in amazement as she took in the effort her man had gone to.
And the delighted actress shared a photo of the couple together raising a glass with the words: "You and I #birthdayeve."
For her birthday Alan cooked Tisha a heart-shaped breakfast.
The soap star, 37, also shared an adorable throwback photo her as a little girl on his Instagram.
And with photo montage of the loved-up couple he wrote: "Happy 27th Birthday to my beautiful girlfriend @missdrewmerry93.
"Even though we’re in lockdown I hope you will have the most amazing day! You deserve it all and more!!! I love you!xxx"
Last month Alan and Tisha celebrated their first anniversary as a couple in lockdown.
And Tisha also spoke of how Alan had changed her life.
"How life can change in a year," she wrote.
"Happy Anniversay @alanhalsall.
"Thank you for being everything I could ever dream of!
"Here’s to many more years! I love you xx"
Alan, who has a six-year-old daughter Sienna with his ex wife Lucy-Jo Hudson, and Tisha confirmed their relationship in May last year at co-star Sam Aston's wedding.
They moved in together later in the year.
In February Alan's ex Lucy-Jo who played Katy Harris in Corrie, welcomed a baby boy with her partner Lewis Devine.
The couple started dating following her separation from Alan in 2018, who she met while working together on Coronation Street in 2002.
