Following the release of his best-selling memoir Not My Father’s Son, Scottish singer and actor Alan Cumming will bring his adults-only one-man cabaret, which debuted in New York in 2015, to the Melbourne stage.

Inspired by his year hosting the infamous “Club Cumming” in his Broadway dressing room , his sappy music show covers songs from Noel Coward to Miley Cyrus. He will be joined by Emmy award-winning musical director Lance Horne.

The 50-year-old actor is on a postage stamp, has been named an icon of Scotland (he’s a vehement supporter of Scottish independence), and was awarded with an OBE for his commitment to LGBT rights in Britain and the US. The shape-shifting star made his debut playing Hamlet on the London stage in 1993, and is known for his most recent role, as the Machiavellian advisor Eli Gold in The Good Wife.
