Alan Carr suffered an unfortunate hair disaster on Christmas Day after a fun festive hair dye failed to wash out in time for the festivities.
The comedian took to his Instagram on Christmas Day morning to share a snap of his mishap.
The 46-year-old telly favourite could be seen sporting red tinted locks and a crimson dyed hairline.
“You know those ‘fun’ Christmas hairsprays that wash out after one shampoo – they don’t,” Alan wrote alongside the snap.
“And oh Merry Christmas,” he added.
Fans were in stitches at the funnyman’s misfortune, taking to the comments section to laugh with Alan.
“Brightened my day!! Merry Christmas to you and yours Alan,” one fan wrote.
Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts commented: ”Hahahah merry Xmas gorge.”
Another offered tips to help get the dye out.
“Use washing up liquid that will help,” they suggested, while another wrote: “Try hand sanitizer – shifts most colours.”
Last month, Alan was named as one of the frontrunners to replace David Walliams as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent.
Show bosses are said to favour a male comedian because Walliams’ constant banter with head judge Simon Cowell was a huge part of the appeal.
Alan, who is best pals with panellist Amanda Holden, was named as a frontrunner along with comedian Mo Gilligan, Top Gear's Paddy McGuinness and chat show show Jonathan Ross.
One insider said: “They are after a male judge who needs to be funny. David leaves a big hole to fill and they need to get this right. The future of the show could depend on it.”
Walliams, 51, is understood to be leaving after 10 years, following remarks he made while recording a show in 2020.
A show spokesman said: “The judging panel will be announced in due course. It’s still very much up in the air on whether David is going to take part.”
But Walliams is expected to stand down after it emerged he called an elderly contestant a “c***” several times while off-air.
The children’s author also said of a young female contestant: “She thinks you want to f*** her, but you don’t.”
He later apologised for the comments. The best-selling children's author said: "I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain's Got Talent in 2020."
