Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow viewers point out 'epic mistake' in opening credits

Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow viewers noticed a huge blunder in the opening credits of the brand new ITV show on Saturday, and several took to Twitter to find out if anyone else had noticed it.

The show saw celebrity couples compete in Play Your Cards right, with the money they won going to their chosen charities.

The famous couples taking part included Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, Chris and Rosie Ramsey, Ore and Portia Oduba, and Martine McCutcheon and Jack McManus.

During the opening credits of the show, each couple and their names popped up on screen - but there was a glaring error as Ruth and Eamonn's names came up when Ore and Portia were on screen.

Lots of viewers joked that the This Morning couple were looking very different all of a sudden.

One wrote: "Producer: “We need a caption with the celebrities’ names on the screen so that the viewers know who they are”

"Editor: “Who are those two then.....?” Producer: “F**k it.....just put Eamonn and Ruth on the screen again, no one will notice.....”"

"Shame they had the Eamon and Ruth caption over Ore and his wife

" #epicgameshow otherwise I really enjoyed that! Like being a kid again!" added another.

"No one else notice that Eamon and Ruth had their names up twice in the credits and Ore was missed off! Rewind it and see!

The nostalgic game show hosted by Alan Carr was a hit with viewers (ITV)

" #Oops. #epicgameshow " commented a third.

"Ore and Porsha I thought they were Eammon and Ruth but younger," joked another.

"Eamonn & Ruth have changed a lot over the years #epicgameshow " quipped another alongside a screenshot of the gaffe.

Another scolded the channel for the error, tweeting: " @ITV, on #epicgameshow epic mistake Eamonn and Ruth's names were on twice during the opening credits. Not a good start."

MirrorOnline has contacted a rep for the show for comment.
