Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow contestants play 80s game but some viewers spot problem

Viewers watching Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow were divided over the choice of game played tonight.

Tonight, Alan introduced viewers to a new 'Epic Gameshow' - 80s classic Child's Play. Child's Play aired on ITV from January 7 1984 to August 26 1988 and was hosted by Michael Aspel.

The game saw four hopeful contestants trying to decipher what words are being described by several school children. The more answers they got correct, the closer they would be to £20,000.

However, viewers watching at home were split as to whether Child's Play was actually a classic gameshow compared to the likes of Bullseye and Play Your Cards Right.

Ron said: "#EpicGameShow Childs Play was not a classic."

A second said: "Never even heard of Child’s Play #epicgameshow #childsplay."

Ollie Hand said: "So Child's Play is sort of like Small Talk but not quite."

Rebecca added: "Not into this Child’s Play rubbish! Bring back Play Your Cards Right."

But others disagreed. Russell said: "Excellent show. Remade by BBC as Small Talk."

Adada tweeted: "This (#ChildsPlay) & #SmallTalk, were ace! Proper good ol' fashioned entertainment/telly!."

Ebony said: "I remember this from back in the day! #Childsplay #EpicGameshow."
