Alan Carr lookalike Liam Halewood shows off awful driving skills on Britain’s Parking Hell

Alan Carr lookalike Liam Halewood is a self confessed terrible parker - and his shocking driving skills are laid bare on tonight’s Britain’s Parking Hell.

The singer and self confessed ‘panic parker’ is so bad he regularly bumps into other vehicles, fences and brick walls while trying to maneuver into a space.

The 33-year-old has even been told off by other drivers who have witnessed his poor spacial awareness - leaving him worried that one day he’ll be confronted or attacked by an irate driver.

Liam hit the headlines in July for speaking about his regret in spending £20,000 to not look like Chatty Man comic Alan Carr .

Sporting a more natural look after stopping all cosmetic procedures, Liam's awful parking skills are exposed on the Channel 5 show.

Liam, from Blackpool, said: “Driving has always been the bane of my life. I have bumped the back of my car so many times it’s beyond a joke. Once I even got told off by a woman whose car I’d backed into, it was so embarrassing, but thankfully it was only my pride that was hurt.

“I admit that sometimes I do things for attention but parking was something I needed to master.”

Liam, who passed his driving test three years ago, failed his first test due to messing up a parallel park - and only just scraped a pass the second time round because he didn’t have to do one - instead he did a reverse around a corner.

“I need to be able to drive and maneuver properly for my job, and sometimes the only spaces I can park in are tiny gaps at the back of social clubs,” he explained.

Britain’s Parking Hell is a series that travels across the country documenting parking battles and helping drivers with their maneurvers.

Liam, who appeared on The X Factor in 2015, was quite literally sent back to basics by driving instructor Andy, who made him practise in a scrap yard in case he hit anything (which he did).

Liam said: “I used to drive a moped and once went over the handlebars because I wasn’t looking where I was going, so I don’t have a good track record with driving. I was determined to finally get it right.”

Find out if Liam conquers his parking problems tonight.

Britain’s Parking Hell airs Thursday from 8pm on Channel 5.
